Autumn VR, based in Edmonton, Alberta, was launched as a subsidiary of Autumn Productions to push the boundaries of immersive storytelling. The studio developed pioneering virtual reality experiences including the feature-length 360° film Jesus VR: The Life of Christ, and VR game titles Paranormal Activity: The Lost Soul and Sharknado VR: Eye of the Storm.
In my role as Project Manager, I oversaw the full scope of digital and marketing production efforts -bridging creative, technical, and logistical workflows across Canada, the U.S., and Europe.
Key Responsibilities & Contributions
- Cross-Functional Project Oversight: Managed multiple interactive and print campaigns from concept to delivery for mobile, web, and VR platforms.
- International App Development: Coordinated with mobile developers in Iceland and Saskatchewan to deliver platform-specific assets and updates.
- Brand Development: Led the creation of company and product branding for Autumn VR and all its entertainment properties.
- Website Design & Development:
- Developed and maintained corporate and product websites (Jesus VR, Paranormal Activity VR, Sharknado VR), including sitemaps and wireframes.
- Executed both front-end and back-end web development to streamline digital operations and reduce outsourcing costs.
- Marketing & Campaign Strategy:
- Led the development of high-level marketing strategies for each VR title, aligning creative direction with target audiences and platform requirements.
- Collaborated with external marketing specialists to execute campaign tactics, including content development, distribution planning, and paid media.
- Oversaw campaign rollouts on Facebook and Google Ads, coordinating timelines and deliverables across internal and third-party teams for Paranormal Activity VR and Jesus VR.
- Digital Asset Management:
- Produced and managed a full suite of digital marketing collateral, including trailers, social media content, and press kits.
- Created and maintained YouTube channels and official social accounts for all three properties.
- Cost Reduction Initiatives:
- Decreased production expenses by insourcing design, development, and content management tasks normally handled by agencies or freelancers.
