2022-2023: I returned on-site in Texas for the company’s 2022, 2023, Fall shows at Excess Field, continuing to support all aspects of logistics, digital infrastructure, and show execution.
2019: Joined Fairbrother Designs in as a logistics and marketing consultant, contributing on-site in Round Top, Texas for their seasonal U.S. events. During the pandemic years (2020-2021), I pivoted to a remote digital role from Canada -redesigning the company website and Facebook presence, and planning the return-to-market strategy for post-Covid shows.
Responsibilities & Highlights
- Managed end-to-end logistics operations for the Fall 2025 Round Top Antiques Show, a premier North American event drawing 100K+ visitors across four weeks, ensuring seamless execution across all operational phases.
- Coordinated storage, international shipment, and customs clearance of high-value European antiques, managing broker relations and carrier compliance via Nippon Express from Antwerp, Belgium.
- Orchestrated cross-functional vendor partnerships spanning customs clearance, international freight, warehousing, and transport scheduling across multiple service providers.
- Negotiated strategically with freight carriers to reduce transport and handling costs by approximately 8–12%, delivering measurable value to operations.
- Proactively managed risk and compliance by performing manifest cross-checks to ensure inventory accuracy and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Engaged directly with U.S. customs brokers to verify agriculture inspections and clearances, maintaining full regulatory compliance throughout import processes.
- Built and maintained strong relationships with freight carriers, movers, and accommodation vendors across Texas to support operational continuity.
- Oversaw physical warehousing setup and teardown during Round Top events, including inbound receiving and outbound distribution of inventory to ensure efficient operations.
- Delivered exceptional customer service by handling on-the-ground client inquiries and resolving logistics-related issues in real-time during live events.
- Led digital transformation initiatives by redesigning the company website and refreshing its Facebook presence to modernize brand positioning and improve online engagement.
- Developed and executed an initial social media strategy with continued seasonal updates to Instagram and Facebook during key show periods, adapting approach based on evolving business priorities.
- Collaborated on the development of a Shopify storefront to enable post-show and remote sales capabilities, demonstrating adaptability as launch plans evolved during the pandemic.
